Scholarship Information
The purpose of PuppetFest MidWest is to promote, encourage and illustrate by example the traditional skills that are the building blocks of good puppet theatre. With this purpose in mind, the festival organizers are offering a scholarhip for this event. The scholarship includes room, board and registration for the entire festival. Scholarship funding does not cover any workshop meterials fees nor does it cover transportation expenses to and from this festival.
If you are a successful scholarship applicant, your obligation to PuppetFest MidWest is to write an article of 500 words recounting your experiences at this Festival. Your article must be emailed to PuppetFest MidWest no later than one month after PuppetFest MidWest. We will include your article (under your byline, of course) as part of a review of PuppetFest MidWest to be submitted for publication and your name will live on in PuppetFest MidWest history! You may also be asked to help out at the festival; however, we will not ask you to do anything that interrupts your workshop or any of the performances.
NOTE: if you have already received a scholarship, you must attend
at least one PuppetFest Midwest at your own expense before you are eligible for another scholarship.
