your next show!

You’ve been scavenging and hoarding long enough now, Matey!
It’s time to clear off those shelves and empty out that closet.

The Raffle is where you donate puppetry-related items to PuppetFest MidWest. Then, you and other PuppetFest MidWest attendees, can purchase tickets to win these items. Donating puppetry-related items to the raffle or purchasing raffle tickets is a great way to support to PuppetFest MidWest. And you might go home with a treasure chest full of booty!

It is becoming a tradition that PuppetFest MidWest has a raffle that just won’t quit! In 2003 it featured posters, puppets, an original watercolor painting by Leon Van Weelden, collectible puppet memorabilia donated by Evey Brown and Gayle Schluter and a shadow puppet stage donated by Jim Napolitano. In 2004, Lettie Connell Schubert donated 3 masks by Margo Rose, puppet books, a foam puppet built by Drew Allison fresh out of that week’s workshop, toy theaters and videos. In 2005 we had books from Bev London and puppet ephemera from Nancy Fawcett. Get ready to win something wonderful this year!

The Swap-and-Shop is an informal swap-meet where PuppetFest MidWest attendees can sell off their puppetry-related treasures. All paid-in-full Festival Registrants are entitled to a space, free of charge, for one special afternoon to swap and show puppet books, costumes and other puppet debris. Bring an extra suitcase for all the goodies you'll get.

You never know what treasures might turn up in at the Swap-and-Shop. At past festivals, people enthusastically purchased rare Pelham puppets, hard to find books and scripts, Marionette Puppies from Phillip Huber, DVDs of Paul Mesner’s performances and other puppetry-related collectibles.

Some of the types of treasures up for grabs at previous PuppetFest MidWest raffles and swap-and-shops were puppets, hard to find puppetry-related books, clothing, LPs, CDs, videos and DVDs.

If you have puppetry-related somethings you would like to add to the raffle, bring it with you to the festival or mail it to the festival (PO Box 14, Jamesport, MO 64648). All money raised will help fund future festivals.
