Workshop Information

workshops
some of the workshops will be held here

At PuppetFest MidWest, your all inclusive registration fee includes your choice of one of our 20-hour workshops on various aspects of live puppet theatre performance. Each intensive 20 hour workshop is spread over a four day period and led by experienced, professional puppeteers from around the world.

Why such long workshops? Instead of short workshops that give you a "taste" of a subject; these workshops will give you intensive hands-on experience and guidance from top puppetry professionals. At the first PuppetFest MidWest, festival workshops were 16 hours, and festival attendees asked for them to be even longer.

Please note that for some workshops, an additional fee may be charged for supplies required. This fee will go directly to the workshop leader. Upon receipt of your fully paid registration, you will receive a registration packet containing information about the workshops and any possible supply fees.

Workshop participants spend each morning in their workshop, enjoy special events in the afternoon, and attend main stage performances every evening. We end the week with a "show-and-tell" where everyone shares and/or performs what they have created.
